Another year, another brilliant gathering of the foremost minds in aquaculture. Lofotseminaret 2024 was a fantastic experience, with inspiring lectures, great discussions, and incredible social activities. The weather gods saw fit to let the sun shine on the 150 participants 150 participants from the Norwegian and international aquaculture industry. All in all, the setting was perfect for two unforgettable days.

Never the less, the professional program was marked by the serious biological situation in the Norwegian aquaculture industry, where winter sores, in particular, contribute to high mortality rates and a concerning increase in the percentage of fish downgraded at slaughter.

 

The industry is trailblazing forward continuing the improvements of the world's most efficient and climate friendly method of producing food at scale. Some of that knowledge was shared at this year's Lofotseminaret.
